“Coaching should be tailored and engaging; based on sound theory; and enjoyable and practical,” says Paul. “It’s got to give participants skills and techniques that will be immediately applicable in the workplace and beyond. It’s also, though, got to give them something else: the motivation and confidence to use them.”
Paul delivers executive coaching in two key areas: Commercial Communication Skills, including consultative selling, negotiation, sales management, pitching and presentation, and business writing; and Leadership and Management Skills, including influencing, feedback, coaching, conflict resolution, delegation, recruiting, appraisal and unconscious bias.
He has worked for many years as a trainer, facilitator and coach, across a wide variety of sectors. These include asset management, retail and investment banking, law, management consultancy, higher education, the NHS, manufacturing, retail and pharmaceutical.
He had a successful career as a portfolio manager for Kleinwort Benson Investment Management and continues to work as a consultant in the financial services sector. He also has training and experience as a professional actor, something he finds of real value in his work as a coach.
