Laura Wyld’s career has spanned business, public life and the voluntary sector. She has worked with corporate leaders and their teams here in the UK and abroad to help them to tell their stories with impact.
Laura has spent many years in communications consultancy and has worked with major clients across the private and public sectors – preparing leaders for keynote speeches, panel events and media events. She has also worked closely with ‘in-house’ comms teams on internal communications and culture.
Laura had a stint in 10 Downing Street during the coalition years, when she was Head of Appointments and was responsible for helping to deliver the diversity campaign for public boards.
Laura also works with family offices, events teams and politicians ahead of major events. Most recently, she helped Rishi Sunak to prepare for national television debates in the 2022 Conservative leadership campaign. She was also on the Advisory Panel to the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
As Baroness Wyld, Laura is a member of the House of Lords where she speaks regularly on issues close to her heart, including education, young people’s mental health and patient safety in healthcare. She is both a board member at Ofsted and a member of the Court of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
