David Belton

David works with individuals and groups to help them communicate engagingly and authentically.  It’s what he’s done for more than thirty years as a filmmaker – working with hundreds of documentary contributors, presenters, and actors.

David began his career at BBC Newsnight and, subsequently, has written and directed more than forty documentaries, drama-documentaries and dramas for leading UK and US broadcasters. He’s made films about politics (‘Blair and Brown – the New Labour Revolution’), art (‘The Power of Art with Sir Simon Schama’) and global cultures (‘The Amish’). He co-wrote the original story and produced the award-winning feature film, “Shooting Dogs”, starring Sir John Hurt. His book, “When the Hills Ask for Your Blood”, was The Independent and New Statesman’s Book of the Week.

“Moving from filmmaking to coaching has felt very natural because, like a film, it always starts with a story,” says David. “I work with the client to hone their narrative and how they tell it – so they’re excited to stand up and communicate it to other people.”
